For the second straight week, the Seahawks are 10-point underdogs in the NFC playoffs, but the players think there's a good chance they'll pull off another win this weekend.
"It's going to come down to who executes the best," says Seahawks tight end John Carlson. "If we execute, if we do the things we need to do, we feel pretty good about our chances.
Carlson told 710 ESPN's John Clayton that he hopes the team's momentum from last week's exceptional showing will carry them to another victory in Chicago.
"Everyone was involved. The offensive line did a great job of protecting Matt and opening up holes in the run game. We had receivers making big plays down the field. Matt was on fire. Marshawn Lynch, his effort, and Justin Forsett, they did a great job," said Carlson. "Hopefully we can carry that into this weekend."
Earlier this week Carlson told the Associated Press that no matter what the odds, Seahawks Coach Pete Carroll makes clear there's always room for a win.
"Every game, no matter how much the people on the outside say that we have no chance, he makes sure that we know that we have a chance."
Caroll told KIRO Radio's Bill Swartz the team is fired up for Sunday's game.
"We're very excited about it, now it's time to do something about it."
