For the second straight week, the Seahawks are 10-point underdogs in the NFC playoffs, but the players think there's a good chance they'll pull off another win this weekend.

"It's going to come down to who executes the best," says Seahawks tight end John Carlson. "If we execute, if we do the things we need to do, we feel pretty good about our chances.

Carlson told 710 ESPN's John Clayton that he hopes the team's momentum from last week's exceptional showing will carry them to another victory in Chicago.

"Everyone was involved. The offensive line did a great job of protecting Matt and opening up holes in the run game. We had receivers making big plays down the field. Matt was on fire. Marshawn Lynch, his effort, and Justin Forsett, they did a great job," said Carlson. "Hopefully we can carry that into this weekend."

Earlier this week Carlson told the Associated Press that no matter what the odds, Seahawks Coach Pete Carroll makes clear there's always room for a win.

"Every game, no matter how much the people on the outside say that we have no chance, he makes sure that we know that we have a chance."

Caroll told KIRO Radio's Bill Swartz the team is fired up for Sunday's game.

"We're very excited about it, now it's time to do something about it."

The Associated Press contributed to this report.

If they EXECUTE on both offense and defense
as well as they did last week, the Seahawks WILL win. As sure as the sun rises.

I feel pretty good about their chances
If I was a gamblin' man I'd sure like them to beat the spread. My hope is that they're within striking distance at the start of the 4th quarter. I'd also like to see them shake Cutler up early and often.

I feel that their odds are good
Our offense was well balanced on pass ans run and that would be a great way to go if we can. They need to be as balanced on offense and defense as they were last Sunday. Like posted they need to have defense get to Cutler as often as possible and then keep their offense off the field.

    Good Times
Win or lose on Sunday, I just want to take a moment to say that I have really had fun watching this team this year. We certainly have a lot of areas that need improvement but I am feeling good about the direction we are going and will enjoy watching them play on Sunday, regardless of the outcome. Go Hawks!

    Run Defense
We take away their rushing then we'll get to Cutler...that's going to be the key on defense. Cutler will get rattled easily, and if we make them one demensional and only being able to pass...then we'll get em. Let everyone underestimate the hawks....that's when we roll the best! GO HAWKS!!!

    Our advantage..
going into this game is Matt. He's been there done that. Cutlers first playoff game. Matt just needs to control any mistakes. I think that he will have another very good game. Give us the ball and we'll score, will come true in Chicago on Sunday. Long time coming. I any given Sunday. I like our chances, but to win, we have to protect Matt. That simple. Go Hawks!!!
