I dont even have to watch it
Brock will have the purple wool pulled over his eyes and say that Locker is the best option. He doesn't like Mallets speed or leadership qualities. But he still thinks that Matt is the right guy. Puke

You were a little slow on the draw. What took you so long to comment on this post? Were you taking a nap?

Yah i would take the drug addict over the great leader and person that is Jake Locker mr foundation. And no salk when pooring millions of dollars into a QB you cant just throw all the off feild issues out it doesn work that way.

    Really guys????
Just because he smoked a little weed doesn't make him a terrible person. Look at Dam Marino he had some drug issues before he came into the NFL. It happens. I know a few guys that are very successful one is a cy young winner that smokes weed. And how do you know that your guys hero (who has never won anything) Jake Locker doesn't do anything bad? How do you know? All you know is that he hasnt gotten caught yet. You call him a leader? WHy? He led the the team to like 13 wins in 4 years. He is bad! Ill take Mallet who has proven at the very least he can play at the college level. Something Lcoker couldnt do

I dont care about your coaching career. I played football growing up for a lot of different coaches some good and some bad. Just because you coached doesn't mean a darn thing. You could have been the only one to volunteer. Your teams could have been .500 at best in terrible leagues. Unless you are Don James then I don't care what you say. You are a typical Seattle homer that thinks every player here is great despite what their record, stats, etc... display. Pull the wool off from over your eyes and realize that there is a reason his draft stock has fallen from 1 to potentially the 2nd or 3rd round. There is a reason he only completed 55 percent of his passes. There is a reason the Huskies were never that good during his ERA. Brock Huard will end up having a better Pro Career than Jake. Jake might get more of an opportunity but he will fall flat on his face. Listen XKOP look at what Jake does inside of the pocket. He is incredibly inaccurate and that is an understatement. Last time I checked to be a successful NFL QB you should probably be able to delivery the football on time and accurately from the pocket. It is kind of important. Or maybe your illustrious coaching career has taught you otherwise. And I will admit I am just an fan who watches the every game that I can and sees that there are a lot of other QB's in football doing a LOT of things better than Hasselbeck or Locker have done here for the past 3 years.

    Oh Yeah XKOP
How do you know that Jake is a great person? Really how do you know? I think 2 years ago we all thought Tiger Woods was a model citizen and a as close to perfect as it got. Until HE GOT CAUGHT! That is all I am saying. Mallet got caught. Jake may be the perfect person you want him to be. But he also may not. The thing is you don't really know. You are believing what YOU want to believe because that is the image in YOUR head. If he was a great leader. I would think we probably would have had more wins at Montlake in the last few years then we did

    Depends
On what SF,Minnesota or The skins' think, Hawks going Defense or O-line with early picks.

Pot smoker or Husky hero, it really doesn't matter
Matt should (and God willing WILL) be the QB here for at least the next 2 years. Early draft picks should go to big uglies. We'll cross the bridge of finding a QB in 2013 or 2014 when we actually need to do it.

Straight from ESPN Magazine..... "On the heels of Locker's strong combine and further examination of all of his game performances, The Magazine's three experts admit they'd consider taking him in the first round despite having graded him lower. Because he's talented, and franchise QBs are so rare, they might be willing to roll the dice on the flash of brilliance that seduced them in the first place. Truth is, scouts usually follow a pendulum swing of emotions: They fall hard for a player at first, then pick him apart before circling back to their first instinct. Locker's case is no exception. Says the offensive coordinator, "He's too talented to slip far." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ON A MORNING JUST DAYS BEFORE THE COMBINE, Locker -- head down, elbows at knees, T-shirt soaked -- gasps for air. He's holding both ends of a thick, heavy rope that's wrapped around a pole 20 feet away. A clock reads 17 seconds, which means that he is almost due for another rep of Velocity's toughest exercise: slapping the rope to the floor in 20-second increments. He lifts the rope and slams it to the turf, right and left, like he's wrestling a boa. His cheeks redden, his eyebrows arc and drop like a guitarist's during a solo, and his tongue flops out of a slight grin. A few players drop their dumbbells to watch. After all, this is a power drill, designed for offensive linemen. Today, nobody dared touch it. Locker went first.
