One of the many great things about living here in Western Washington is the fact that you don't have to venture too far to escape the city. If you want to enjoy some island culture, then check out Whidbey Island. Langley and Coupeville are quaint little waterfront towns full of shops, eateries, and things to do. Whidbey also boasts some very fine beaches, and the view from the bridge at Deception Pass linking Whidbey and Fidalgo Island is not to be missed! A taste of merry olde England isn't that far away from Western Washington. Victoria B.C. is a quick float plane ride away. Victoria is a great weekend destination with plenty of restaurants, shopping, culture and history. Not to mention gorgeous waterfront views. And if you take a float plane from Kenmore Air, the ride itself is an adventure. Flying at about a thousand feet, you'll see the San Juans up close and personal, and maybe even a whale or two!
